Room 11 (Floor 2)

Workshop description: In this conceptual design workshop, we'll look at some of the most pressing and most common tech issues big banks have these days — in order to tackle them on the spot, with fresh ideas and a startup spirit.

We're starting from a list of startup ideas Yann's fund would like to back, each solving one big "fintech" problem, be it in savings, loans, or effective "know-your-customer" tools.

We discuss the merits and demerits of each idea, identify strengths and weaknesses, impediments and chances. We'll then organize teams around each of the banking issues to be solved and our -so far- fictional startups that solve them. Through a set of fast-paced questions loosely based on the Business Model Canvas, participants will be asked to shape up their idea. Using any format they want (speaking, drawing, role playing for example) the team will finally present to everyone their "pitch" and debate / discuss with other participants.
