Don't make me steal

We love movies! And we are persuaded that a big part of today's piracy would just stop if content delivery was to change a bit.

Let's face it, it's 2011 and we're still expected to walk to a video store in order to rent a movie. Of course we could use iTunes. But what movie lover wants to watch a dubbed movie. It seems so difficult and frustrating to legally obtain a movie.

And that's why we often end up doing what's easiest. Torrent, Open Subtitles and Boom, 30 minutes later it's like in the cinema.

Yet we think this could all be so much easier! We believe that content providers are a wee bit lost. They see us as their enemy. But we're not! We love movies! And most of us understand that movies have a cost.
This is what this workshop is all about. Do you love movies as much as we do? Do you struggle with the current content delivery landscape? Do you find it difficult to legally obtain the movies you want to watch? Do you think that it could all be so much easier? Then join us for this Workshop.

We will collaboratively come up with the Digital Media Delivery Manifesto. A text that will most likely start with the following sentence: "I promise that I will not pirate video content if I'm offered a legal alternative that is: …"
Right after the workshop Jordi and Pierre will launch a web platform with the Manifesto we created together. You will be able to digitally sign the Manifesto using your Facebook or Twitter account.

And who knows, in the end, maybe content providers will understand our needs. And the fact that we are not their enemy. We are just huge fans of movies who would love to pay for their content. If only it weren't so damn difficult.
