The Alps are not a futuristic place. When we think of the world in twenty or fifty years, we think of cities, not mountains, we think of robots, not of goats. Still, extraordinary challenges are coming to these mountains: climate change and depopulation, economic and cultural stagnation are looming large. So how can we think about Alpine Futures, how can we productively debate the changes in identity, culture and technology bound to happen in this unique space in the heart of Europe?

Participants must bring at least one alpine artefact.
