Roger Fischer

CEO at Kaywa

Roger Fischer, studied Film and Audiovisual Media in Paris, worked at the Arts Council of Switzerland and part-time as curator and film critic.

He joined a video-web company just before the millennium as web developer and co-founded his first company Bitflux in the dot-com bust year of 2001.
Bitflux was known for its open source XML content management system and in-browser word editor. During his time as CEO, Roger was also member of the board of OSCOM and helped organize conferences in Zurich, Berkeley and Harvard.

In 2003 he founded the first fully mobile blogging SaaS company Kaywa which dominated the early swiss social media scene; all major publishing companies in Switzerland and South Germany used Kaywa's blogs and portals. With the introduction of QR Codes to the West in 2006, Kaywa operated a significant pivot. Since then it has grown to become a global player on the QR Code scene with its online QR Management and Kaywa Reader. Kaywa has offices in Zurich, Belgrade and San Francisco.
