Mohammed Dalal is the Head of Technical Services at Commercial Bank of Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. He received his Bachelor of Business Information Technology degree and subsequently Master of Science degree in IT Management from Strathmore University.
Over his 12 year career, he has held IT senior management roles in key commercial banks in Kenya such as Dubai Bank (Kenya) Limited and CFC Stanbic Bank (affiliated to Standard Bank South Africa). At Commercial Bank of Africa, he has been an integral member of the team that launched the innovative M-Shwari product that has had a significant impact on the Kenyan banking industry. The product is renowned for onboarding 1 million customers in just 40 days and 9 million customers in just 2 years.
In addition to being an IT professional, Mohammed has been a contributor in digital disruption discussion forums; most recently at the Temenos Community Forum held in May 2014 at Rome, Italy. He is very passionate about using technology to improve people’s lives and is an staunch fan of Liverpool Football club.
