Feb. 2-4, 2011   |   CICG, Geneva, Switzerland

Lift11 gathered over 1000 participants in Geneva to explore current and emerging usage of digital technologies such as online communities, social media and casual games. It was at Lift11 that Kevin Slavin made his ground-breaking speech about “those algorithms that govern our lives”, which resonated deeply with the audience and led to an invitation to TED Global a few months later. Since then the influence of algorithms on our lives has been explored in many Lift workshops and even a dedicated session.
